The Lantern is located adjacent to the Dorset Gardens Bistro and is a semi private room.
Capacity: 120 cocktail 80 sit-down dinner
Room Hire: $150.00
The Lantern Room also gives you the flexibility of ordering form our Bistro Menu, please ask your Functions Manager for menu options.
The Elm offers a contemporary relaxed feel with its own private bar ideal for luncheon/Presentations Nights and Seminars.
Capacity: 250 cocktail 150 sit-down dinner
Room Hire (Day): $330.00 (Night): $660.00
The Samara with its own private courtyard and Gazebo is truly amazing; guests can enjoy intimate or large functions in style. With its own private bar, dance floor and modern amenities this room is sure to make any event special. Catering for both cocktail and sit-down functions.

Gazebo and Courtyard Intimate cocktail receptions may be held in this immaculately kept courtyard and the Gazebo which provides a modern, yet classic venue option. The fairy lit Gazebo at night provides a beautiful backdrop for any event. Courtyard gives guests will the option to enjoy the warm Australian weather along with a nice cool beverage

Room Hire: $600.00
Please note a surcharge is applicable for functions with fewer than 50 guests.
The Room Hire Fees include
• 5 hour duration of function
• Setting of the room to your specifications
• Coloured serviettes of your choice
• Bar and Floor staff
• Pack down and Cleaning of room
We pride ourselves as one of Melbourne’s safest venue. All our security guards are trained in both security and customer service are fully licensed and first aid certified to ensure that they can cope with any security situation.
Security guards will be required for some functions; the number of guards will depend on the number of guest that are being invited. We are more than happy to provide this service for you at a cost of $150.00per guard for five (5) Hours.
DECORATING & THEMING:
Our in house style team can assist you with any Function theming requirements that you may have. From floral arrangements, to specific themes, or full production design, we can make your event one to remember.
All Function bookings will have their dinner tables dressed in white linen, wrought iron candelabras and serviettes to match their colour themes.
CATERING:
Dorset Gardens offers a range of options for your function food. You are able to choose from our platter selection (for cocktail style functions), international buffet or our sit down menu options (for a lunch or dinner function).
Should you have any concerns with dietary requirements, please contact us for alternative menus.
Dorset Gardens operates under a food safety program and in the interests of patron safety all food must be consumed on premise; we do not allow food to be taken from the venue.
